Project (Updates)

Rupesh Patil is helping numerous people living on the roads of Mumbai.

Dear donors,
As you all know we have been working to uplift countless homeless and elderly people on the streets of Mumbai. Your donation of construction materials, including 1000+ bags of cement, 1 Lakh+ bricks (4″), 100 brass sand, and 100 brass metal rods, is a critical step towards providing them with a safe and secure shelter.
They were once the backbone of their families, working tirelessly to provide a life of happiness for their loved ones. Now, in their time of need, they find themselves without a roof over their heads, battling mental illnesses and physical ailments.

We hope to give them the love and respect they deserve and we are thankful to everyone who believed in us and supported our cause. Please continue to support us.

Regards,

Rupesh Patil
Founder, Parash Shayan Shikashan Prasarak Mandal,
Conducted by Nityanand Ashram

Based out of Mumbai, Parash Dhayan Shikashan Prasarak Mandal conducted by Nityanand Ashram is now home to 150+ abandoned elderly. These people have found a ray of hope in Rupesh – some call him their son while others think he is no less than God to them. For over 8 years now, this organisation is doing their best to give these abandoned souls a life of happiness and dignity.

We want to ensure that no one goes to bed on an empty stomach.

“Whenever we get a call about an abandoned elderly, we rush to rescue them. So often, we find them covered in dirt, frail and tired. Most of them had given up on their lives and were just waiting to die. Some are mentally ill and in no condition to take care of themselves. We bring them to our Ashram, bathe them, and give them a fresh pair of clothes and warm meals. When I see them smile, it makes me so happy,” – Rupesh Patil, Founder, Parash Dhayan Shikashan Prasarak Mandal conducted by Nityanand Ashram

Talking about the residents of the Ashram, Rupesh tells how they have been forced to live on the streets, begging for a morsel of food. Be it the scorching heat of the summers or the chilly winter nights, these elderly have no roof over their heads. These were people who once had a family and they worked hard to give them a life of happiness. Yet now, no one is ready to look after them – some are fighting mental illnesses while others are too weak from the recurring ailments plaguing them.

Nityanand Ashram wishes to bring back the smiles on the faces of these people. But there are challenges that come in the way – they fall short on groceries or are unable to buy medicines for the residents. The Ashram is also in need of hygiene essentials for the elderly residents; with a dwindling amount of donations, Rupesh finds it difficult to support them.

This is your chance to help those who are all alone in this world.

Rupesh wants to give these 150+ abandoned elderly the peace and happiness they have never experienced before. But he needs your help with that. You can support him by donating groceries, hygiene products, medicine and construction materials. All of these will help Rupesh give the old and the helpless a life of comfort – every donation counts.
